Stephen discussed the adversity that I had overcome and the ambition that set me apart from our community growing up. He talked about the books I had previously self published as an example of the determination I have had.
Reflection
I think the interviews were a great experience to see some perspectives I did not even realize. I think many of the traits I had mentioned before were pronounced in the interviews as well. It was a fun assignment that really brought into light some of my potential. I noticed while many people did also mention my ambition, leadership and optimism they noticed other things as well. I didn't realize how social and open people see me and that certainly has an influence in the world. I think a lot of the positive aspects that others see can work to my advantage and help me develop. As far as making corrections to the list, after listening to others I think I could further enhance the list with their thoughts and perspectives.

Hi Victoria,
ReplyDeleteIts good that there are a decent amount of characteristics you can add to the list. This only makes you a stronger candidate for being a successful entrepreneur. It is good that you can now assess how social you are and how open people think you are. This, in my opinion, is the most important character trait of an entrepreneur.
An interesting assignment. We as entrepreneurs need to understand the foundational pillar of the business we are driven to create. This is a great opportunity to tease apart and continue formation of our own self-appraisal. Comprehending our own strengths and weaknesses can be nothing but helpful, particularly if we revisit self-analysis. Why revisit self-analysis? We are (or should be), as humans, always changing and should cultivate the courage to improve daily.
ReplyDeleteHi Victoria,
ReplyDeleteThis was such an interesting assignment and I think it's great to step back and see if how we view ourselves aligns with how those closest to us view us. It's great that people mentioned the ambition, leadership and optimism that you see in yourself. I agree that you can work on enhancing your positive qualities after listening to others, and you can work on any of your weaknesses as well.
Victoria, I also noticed that my interviewees mentioned traits I did not even think of, likely because we do not notice some qualities about ourselves. Nonetheless, your list conveyed how great of a person you are, and others are simply enhancing your list of qualities! You will go far in life with the qualities I am seeing, especially in the business field.
