Your Entrepreneurship Story
Your Entrepreneurship Story
I have had several different encounters with entrepreneurship in my life. Somewhere focused on meeting entrepreneurs themselves, becoming involved in entrepreneurship, helping others launch a business and taking an entrepreneurship class in the past. I think each one brought me a deeper understanding of how the entrepreneurship process and experience is and it is different for everyone.
I assisted my mom build a real estate business and I was responsible for much of the marketing that helped build up clientele. I helped establish the “I Can Group” at Gulf Coast State College, as Vice President of the group we established the group from the ground up. I have meet an owner of an Doctors Office and interviewed them about their personal experience building and growing a business. I have taken this class partially in the past and learned some things about entrepreneurship that I was completely unaware of.
I took this class to expand my knowledge of the entrepreneurship experience and practice how to start my own business. One of my career options in life is to be able to start, build and establish a successful business or possibly businesses. When I took the class in the past I already had a business idea, a solution per say. However, I realized upon speaking with people that my idea may not be profitable. I had an idea to start a gym dedicated to females and while the idea had possibility I learned most my target audience desired to work out at home. I am looking forward to trying this class with an open mind and fresh perspective. I hope to be able to find a way to open a business that will solve real life problems and be profitable.

Hi Victoria,
ReplyDeleteIt's awesome that you were able to witness entrepreneurship from your mom and decided to embark on the journey yourself. The fact that you have already established a success college organization by yourself shows you have that entrepreneurship mindset, going against the grain despite the odds. I have thought about gyms exclusive for females and think that is a fantastic idea, we really need them.
Hi Victoria!
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting first-hand experience with entrepreneurship. That's great that you have gotten so much experience, so early. You definitely have taken action and made it apparent that you have entrepreneurial goals. I love your idea for a gym dedicated to females and you should keep looking into that. I'm sure some of the skills you learn in this class can help!
Hello Victoria!
ReplyDeleteI am actually going to have to disagree with you. I think that a women-only gym would be doable. In Gainesville, there is a women-only branch for Gainesville Health and Fitness (which is the largest local gym organization in the area). While they do have several other branches that are coed, I do think your dream is possible. Maybe you could learn something from their model and create coed gyms with a smaller female only branch?
